Founded in April 2002 by Hicham DAOUDI, the Moroccan Company of Art Works and Items is the first auction house in Morocco. On December 28 of that same year, the CMOOA inaugurated its activities within the prestigious setting of La Mamounia hotel in Marrakech. In January 2004, the CMOOA equipped itself with an auction room in the heart of Casablanca. An exhibition and auction place which now hosts events regularly, that meet an increasingly numerous public of art lovers and institutional investors.

In its eight years of existence, thirty thematic sales have thus been organized, building the ratings of our national artists. Our many sales have recorded worldwide auction records, whether by Orientalist painters such as José Cruz-Herrera, Henry Pontoy, Jean Gaston Mantel or by Moroccan painters such as Jilali Gharbaoui, Ahmed Cherkaoui and even Mohamed Ben Ali Rbati. Our auction room has also recorded results beyond one million dirhams for Moroccan artists such as Hassan El Glaoui or Mahi BineBine, an artist who represented Morocco during the last Venice biennale, among other things.

The CMOOA suggests regularly to the public thematic sales led by sworn auctioneers. Every event requires a rigorous work of research, authentication and sometimes restoration. It is carried out in partnership with renowned experts.

Over the sales, be it in Orientalist painting, modern and contemporary Moroccan sculpture or international modern and contemporary art works, the CMOOA knew how to win a broad circle of art enthusiasts and professionals and thereby gain undeniable international recognition. The aim of the Moroccan Company of Art Works and Items (CMOOA)  today is to stand as an incontrovertible platform.
